The cruise is coming to an end, it is our last night, and I am quite sad about it really. You get used to this kind of lifestyle, so it will be strange to go ashore and not see the same faces again, and not hae breakfast at the same restaurant, and not have the same bed..
The last two days have been spent at sea, on the way back to Fort Lauderdale. Finally, we had some nice weather also, so it has been great, just laying in the sun, tanning, floating about in the pool, and just relaxing. That is basically what we have done the last two days. I have gotten to know an American guy who is on a cruise with his father-in-law, so I have been talking a lot with him also. We will meet him later to go to the final show on the cruise tonight.
Basically our days on the ship have been something like this:
I get up early, around 7 am, go outside and read my book, until my mother is ready and we have breakfast in the restaurant on the floor above us. After that, we have been lounging in the deck chairs, tanning, reading, chatting with people, or swimming in the pool. Have lunch around 2 pm, that means tacos every day or me, after I finally found the taco bar! Lounge around some more.. If the weather turns bad, then we go to the movies at 4 pm, or at 7 pm. Dinner sometime around 7.8 pm. And sometimes we have gone to the show at 8 pm. We have gone to bed quite early, around 10-11 pm every night. I don't know what it is, but I always go to bed early when I am on holiday, I get so tired of everything that I do during the day!
I really like the staff here, they are mostly Asians, some of them Indonesian. So I have been talking Indonesian to them, mostly just «Terimah kasi!», which means thank you. They are so sweet, smiling all the time, remembering our names, always saying nice things. They work so hard, I feel sorry for them! The guys in the restaurants also, they are so sweet, they always have a big smile on their faces, and they are there all day, from breakfast at 6 am till dinner at 8.30 pm! Yesterday, one of the guys said he thought I was beautiful like an angel, so I like him the most! Haha!
I want to go on a cruise again very soon!
A day later, I am in Miami. We got a suite at a hotel which is close to everything. I am not starting to get fancy, but it was actually the cheapest and best room that I could find, in this area!
We got off the boat this morning, it made me a little bit sad. I really liked it there, and it was sad saying goodbye to the people we had met.
We had booked a tour, to while away the day while waiting to check into the hotel at 3 pm. It was an Everglades tour, tht took us out in an airboat in the Everglades in Florida. We got to see a real, wild alligator, veery close to the boat. Very cool! We also saw an Alligator show and looked at some different animals they had there. It was an interesting tour.
After that, we were driven to Miami airport, from where we caught a cab to the hotel. Luckily, they let us check in a little bit early. And we walked down to Lincoln Road Mall , which is like the main shopping street here. After having a late lunch/ dinner, I got stuck in Victoria's secret for a while, and spent some money!
3 days more here in Miami, before we have to go home again. Better enjoy them!
