Kim's Travels
Well after waking up slightly stiff and sore we checked out of our hostel and began the mission of finding another. It turned out really easy and we got into one just down the road (Base - Wanderers on Kent, Kent Street). It wasn't the best start as when we arrived in our room it was filthy dirty, smelly and really untidy, however the cleaners soon sorted it and its actually quite a decent hostel. We dumped our stuff and took a walk to the harbour to catch our ferry to Manly. We all got on the boat and enjoyed the famous harbour views etc... it was a sunny day too which made it all the better! Manly is a great little town, a little like Cronulla where we went the other day, right on the beach, lots of palm trees, good shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and surfer dudes; I loved it there. We grabbed some lunch and sat on the beach - it wasn't exactly typical beach weather but we enjoyed it! We strolled up the beach checking out the surfers and guess who we saw... PLAYERS FROM THE ENGLISH RUGBY TEAM! Yes, (I can't actually remember their names but the boys were very excited so they must've been important) they were running down to the beach to catch some waves. They're are here for their matches next week. They were actually really grumpy but we got some photos so that was quite exciting. We also bumped into our driver from yesterday and he assured us all the people taken to hospital are safe and well so that was good to know. We chilled out some more on the beach then went to the pub and caught the ferry home. We got back to the hostel, drank rather a little to much (!) and went to the hostel bar (Scary Canary). It was a really good night and we all had loadsa fun!
