Kim's Travels
Today was a LONG journey on the bus. We left Byron at 0745 and arrived here at 1815. On the way we stopped at Nimbin; probably the weirdest place on earth. It is a small town where the hippies settled a while ago. There is one main street which is REALLY colourful and its full of organic shops, hemp shops and WEED. They have an on going campaign to legalise cannibis and everyone there uses it. There were even ladies offering me 'cookies' as I walked up the street. Very stange. Anyway, very interesting to see and I'm glad I went there. We then moved on to Surfers Paradise, it was really touristy and full of sky scrapers so we sat and had lunch on the beach and then moved on to finish our journey to Brisbane. On the way we did zorbing which was mental - its when you are put in a huge plastic ball with two other people and water then thrown down a hill! I was laughing the whole way, it was so funny! After that we arrived in Brisbane. We're only here for one night so we won't get to see much but we're gunna watch the controversial QLD vs NSW footie match and head to bed for yet another early start tomorrow when we hit Hervey Bay! Yay!
