So last night we took the long walk home from Thongsala to Ban Tai for the last time and chilled out at the resort for our last night. So to celebrate Tom's birthday we went to a great little Thai seafood restaurant where the food was fantastic. I had smoked whole seabass with ginger and Tom had glass noodles with mixed seafood - it was brilliant. On our meander back home we passed a Jeep rental place and for some stupid reason unbeknown to me, we hired it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM! We woke up this morning and enjoyed a fresh fruit brekkie on the beach, I gave Tom a little bracelet and a make-shift birthday card (postcard!) and we planted ourselves under the scorching sun and settled there for a good 6 hours! Well after updating yesterday we settled ourselves in another funky little place on the beach in Haad Rin and watched a film/read our books etc... Last night we met up with Tom's diving group and watched the scuba DVD which was very cool to see what they all got up to and how it all worked. Then we moseyed on down to Sairee where we all had dinner at Choppers and drinks at Pure (bar right on the beach with candles everywhere - gorgeous!).
