Phuket is expensive and touristy.
We arrived late at night and basically got in a locals car who took us to kamala beach (where we were staying) it cost a fortune to get there (please note a fortune out here is £12.00) but we arrived to a fan room!!!! NOOOOO. We were staying in a dorm but me and jess were the only people in it. Which is lucky as I spent most nights sleeping in my underwear!!!! HOTT
We only stayed for two nights in Phuket as to put it simply we couldn't afford it. We went to the beach and saw tonnes of crabs and on the second night we went to a cultural theme park where they put on a thai show.
The park itself was really random. Lots of statues and shops, there was also an elephant palace (where the show would be held) we also went through a sort of zoo. Where we got to see a few animals.... Pretty exciting although I personally think it had nothing on the Cotswold wildlife park,
The show was amazing- we all know I love a bit of tackiness. Lots of thai dancing in thai dress, singing, magic. there were tigers, chickens, goats and doves and so many elephants. The elephants did lots of tricks and were amazing. However both me and jess felt sorry for them but said they seemed happy enough.
At one stage acrobats even came down from the ceiling, trapeezing above our heads in neon colours against the black ceiling.
Our time in Phuket was short lived as we left the next day.
Peace and love
Kim and jess.
