Ok, ok, ok so I have been really slack and have been told off by my mum for not writing a blog. Fact is we had been busy and I have also been ill.
I don't remember when we arrived in krabi but we were booked in for three nights at the pak up hostel. Which is a great little hostel if your ever looking at going to krabi. Wooden floors and bunk beds with duvets!!! All for the ultimate 5.00 a night. I was possibly more excited by the duvet than krabi itself.
In short not much happened in krabi. Our first night led to an intense game of Jenga, and the second day resulted in a hospital trip. To be honest the hospital is all rather boring... So ill leave that out. However our third day we went to a hot spring waterfall, the emerald pool as the tiger temple. The waterfall was amazing!!!! It was like having a bath! I almost wished I had brought some radix for the occasion.
The emerald pool is incredible. It's a natural swimming pool in the middle of a rainforest. Me and jess swam around in the clear green waters and relaxed and was also amazed by the blue lagoon which we also visited. After a hard day of beautiful waterfalls and pools me and jess went to the tiger temple where we climbed 1,327 steps to the top of a mountain where there was a huge buddha.
I got freaked out by the monkeys as just before we started climbing they grabbed loads of food off some people on front of us. I didn't even want to walk past them!!! Making sure I had my sunglasses in my bag and persuasion from jess I did manage to finally overcome my fear. However not even halfway up I wish I had stayed down at the bottom. The steps were steep. We got through all our water in record time, it was boiling and I think we had to stop every ten minutes. BUT BOY WAS IT WORTH IT. the clouds looked like they were painted on, and all we could see for miles was green fields and mountain after mountain after mountain in the background. Krabi is a beautiful, breathtaking place. If our visas had allowed us more time we probably would have stayed there longer. But we had to leave the next day. It's hard to believe that our time in Thailand has already passed. There are so many things which we still want to do and I think we already want to go back before we have even left. It's incredible how quick time goes and how you can constantly be busy and still have more things to do. Onto Malaysia next tho and our first stop is Penang! :)
Peace and love
