We arrived in Christchurch late Tuesday afternoon. We checked into the hostel but didn't do alot that night. I think I slept again.
On Wednesday we went food shopping and on the internet and had a day of orgnaising stuff.
On Thursday we went on the Christchurch Gondola. It is basically a cable car to the top of a hill, we then went on a walk to a womans refuge thing (it was basically a hut) I managed to fall over and hurt my leg. It still hurts now.
Friday we went to the National Antarctic Centre, which was good fun. We saw some penguins and went on a Haggaland, which is a big vehicle designed for going through snow and up hills etc. It was cool but rather scary. We weren't expecting it to be so jumpy. It threw us around. It was a good job we were holding on. When we got back to the city we watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - which was awesome.
On Saturday we went to the Gym, very weird! We also went swimming afterwards in this place with a wavepool and slides, though we would have had to pay extra for the slides. We did go in the Sauna and Steam Room for about two seconds. I really didn't like it though - too hot!
Sunday we didn't do alot - there really isn't too much to do in Christchurch. The place in nice and scenic, but if your not into that, and I'm not, it can be a bit boring. It is also very English, which defeats the object of leaving home!
