We saw on a poster on the wall of the hostel saying that there was a bean throwing festival at a temple nearby. So blatently we were going to go to it, couldn`t miss an opportunity like that.
We were talking to a Canadian guy in the hostel in the morning, who Kate is obsessing over and told him to go. He left about the same time as us but went in a different direction.
It was only our second day we managed to get on the wrong train three times. It was horrendous. We finally got there and the Canadian guy was standing at the platform on his way home, thats how long we took. He said there were no beans and he was right. It was quite disappointing. The temple was nice and I think something was going on as it seemed busy. I think perhaps that people throw beans themselves and its not one big thing. Either way we didn`t get to throw any beans!
We went back to the hostel and discovered that the roller coaster in the shopping mall next door was working (we hadn`t seen it working yet) so we went on that. It was actually pretty amazing. Then we walked up to Den-den town, which is full of electrical items. We saw Ipod Nanos for less than 100 pounds, which we were very tempted by but were very good and did not buy!
