Not much to report today. We received a mail overnight saying the VIA Rail strike was off and that we could take the train. However we had already bought tickets with Megabus. Race day and it was blowing a gale on our balcony. The forecast was for rain so it was in contrast with the last time we came to the Canadian GP when it was so scorchingly hot that we hid in the shade as much as we could. A cloudy start to the day. There was rain in the air and it was unexpectedly cold. We had an early breakfast and headed out to the track. We arrived in time for FP3. Joan woke up early and looked at her phone. We had an email from Via rail saying that there was likely to be a strike starting midnight on Sunday. This morning the kids were all going off to school and Penny to work. Phil works at home and kindly ran us to the station. Unlike in the UK where you just ruck up a couple of minutes before the train leaves, here you have to check-in your luggage and wait in a departure hall.
