Kevin and Joannie on tour
We're staying in a top floor flat on Pickering. We had no food in so we went to the local supermarket, Loblaws, for a few bits. It was huge and full of great produce and a good veggie section. After breakfast we made our way to the Beaches and enjoyed looking at the different shops and signs. We stopped at Outriggers again for a light snack of Guacamole before walking all the way down to Woodbine. The Beaches is very vibrant, with lots of boutique shops and interesting places to eat.Joan is particularly fond of Japanese food and spotted a noodle bar. However on close inspection the veggie noodles contained both chicken and clams. There were some other fun signs and we stopped at Whitlocks, a corner pub, famed for its All-You-Can-Eat Sunday brunches. On the way we went to the Library to see if there was any tourist information and then we amused ourselves looking a real estate and choosing a house for ourselves. (For the record, one in Whitby with an outdoor pool and unusually big garden for Canada.)Back at the flat we read novels and then walked down to Phil and Penny's for dinner. We walked down to the beach and around the rather grand water purification plant. There were great views down to central Toronto and the CN Tower. The Mexican we were looking to dine at was closed so we at S******. Afterwards we went back to P&P's for a few cheese and crackers before Penny kindly ran us home. we've done so much walking on this holiday, we just collapsed in to bed.
