Wednesday 23rd September - Centre Town Parking
We came into the town ok and turned off the main street and found a park. Only trouble was you had to have a special parking card to park here.
Away we went , not owning a card, and around the corner there were road works so we took the detour!!
Some of the lanes we went down were so tight that Jannie suggested that we pull in the side mirrors. We found a park and Jannie was about to pay some money to park here but I reckoned that we were a fair way from the centre of the town so told her not to pay. Instead she got into conversation with these two old Frenchmen who spoke no English and I am at a loss to think what was said.
Eventually we found a parking building and it was in the centre of town.
We had a coffee and a croissant and went on down these little narrow streets to the information centre.
Seems there is a little train that most towns have that tours the sights and it does go to the Nine locks of Fonseranes. (Les neuf ecluses de Fonseranes) 9 locks = 21 metres.
