Wednesday 23rd September - Montpellier to Beziers
As usual we packed and had our breakfast and then took all of our bags done to level -2 where our car was parked.
The parking area has to be the tightest parking building that I have ever had to negotiate.
The area Antigone, a suburb of Montpellier, only came into being in the late 1980s. It was originally an army base and was all torn down and new apartments, hotels and a new tram service through the middle of the place have built in the area.
We got on the road and "Marie" took us to the outskirts of Montpellier and had us headed for Beziers.
Got to a toll gate and had to take a ticket. They have got a system where the ticket lasts until you get off the motorway and then you pay.
It was very windy and occasionally there was a windsock that was standing straight out.
We got to Beziers and had predetermined that it was to be a coffee stop and perhaps we would get to see the staircase canal lock system.
