The clouds were coming over the edge of part of the mountain and that's why locals nick-name it table cloth mountain. Sunday 7th JanuaryWe leave Bulawayo on the overnight sleeper train to Victoria Falls. It's just like the ones you get at home, although those in economy have to sit up all night. We spend the night playing cards and eating cheese and biscuits. Friday 5th JanuaryOn our way to Bulawayo we stopped off at the Great Zimbabwe ruins. Zimbabwe was named after this place. Zi means Great. Mba means Old. Bwe means House. Monday 1st January - New Years DayWe travel to Antelope Park near Gweru. They have a large lion breeding programme here and there are loads of activities to do. Sunday 31st December - New Years EveWe crossed the border into Zimbabwe today and went to The Rocks at Harare. You have to change 20 dollars at the border as you must be able to show the police a receipt if you are ever stopped. The bank rate is 250 Zim dollars to 1 US. However, on the black market the rate was 2,300 Zim dollars to 1 US. It's ridiculous that the government thinks they can set the rate as the market will always dictate the rate. Apparently rec...
