Thursday 1st MarchIt takes us 30 hours of non-stop travelling from Siem Reap to reach Ko Phangan. This is my last week with Kate before she heads off to Perth and around Australia. Sunday 25th FebruaryWe get up early to see sunrise at Angkor Wat and I'm not disappointed. It's beautiful and quite huge. We walk towards the temple and the cicada's start their morning call just as the sun begins to light up the sky. There are so many people here, it's like making a pilgrimage to mecca. We start at the Royal Palace which is just so quiet compared with those in Thailand with the hordes of tourists. Tuesday 20th February We met up with an irish girl called Cat on the flight from Danang to Saigon and she joins us for a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and the city. The tunnels were made by the Viet Cong who lived in them in hiding during the war. I crawl through a small tunnel, around 30metres long.
