Saturday 8th September I go with Anna to find a hostel for me to stay in as that was the end of my tour. I catch up with Simon, Mum and Dad which is lovely and tell them I'll be home in a week! Monday 3rd September I land in Quito and transfer to the Hotel Rio Amazonas which is just lovely. It's in the New Town area with lots of eateries and internet cafes. I meet my group who I'll be doing the Galapagos tour with and go out for dinner with Anthony and Guarav. Anthony is a planning officer from Jersey who is taking a year out at 30 with a now or never attitude. And Guarav is the most quiet lawyer I've ever met from New York and must be around 28.
