Kerry and Rick - On Tour
La Paz, Bolivia,
Although not the official capital, La Paz is Bolivias main city. As
you drive into the city you come down from the mountains, and the view
of the city draped across several moutainsides is something to behold.
We definetly knew we were in Bolivia here, very different to Peru and
very obvious we were in a very poor country. The city itself is pretty bustling and what you would expect from a South American city. The first day we just wandered around and got to see The Dark Knight (one of the highlights of La Paz!). Day 2 was spent again wandering around and visiting the sites. Like Peru, you can see the Spanish colonial
influence everywhere. We went up on the roof of the San Francisco
Church and had a great view over the city. Then we met up with a tour
group to see the rest of the country.
