From Bariloche we headed back up North into the heat of Mendoza, the center of Argentinian wine production. We only spent 2 days here to break the journey to Salta. The first day we spent walking around the city, which is pleasant enough, though there dogs are a bit too friendly for my liking... We took a 20 hour bus journey south from BA to Puerto Madryn, a small seaside town by the sea. Its very pretty and quite small so its a lovely place to stroll around. It was really cold though, halfway down to Antartica. As soon as we arrived we rented some bikes and cycled 20kms and back out to a beach where we got to see some Ballena and Orca whales.There was about 10 of them swimming about 5 meters off the shore.
