Today was another nice day of doing very little. Being here in Jeju has been very relaxing and has helped us get ready for the last few days in Seoul. I think at this point both of us are ready to be home, but Kent is looking forward to the DMZ tour when we get back to Seoul.

After a late breakfast and a short nap, Kent & Christine headed out to go Parasailing! This was something that Kent wanted to do, but since it took a minimum of 2 people to go, Christine decided to go as well.

After a short drive from the hotel to the dock, we boarded the boat and headed out into the South China Sea. The ride out was very bumpy as the speedboat flew across the tops of the waves, going up and down like a mini rollercoaster.

Kent was the first to get hooked up to the parachute and then up and up he went. It was a fantastic feeling, you really felt like you were flying. And surprisingly it wasn't scary at all. You were totally secure in the rigging and never once felt like there was any danger. The ride was shorter than Kent had hoped, but after about 5 minutes (which felt like a lot less), he was slowly reeled back in and Christine was hooked up.

Since she isn't too fussy about heights, Christine was surprised at how calm she felt as she watched the boat get smaller and smaller as she climbed into the sky. Even the occasional rocking back and forth of the harness as the boat caught a wave, didn't bother her. She enjoyed the coolness of the wind as she soared above the boat. It felt really free, and it was cool to see the beach and nearby hotels from a different viewpoint.

After the rides were over, the boat went up to full speed and we splashed and pounded our way back to the dock. There we purchased a couple of pictures of us up in the parachute and then headed back to the hotel.

Once we were back at the hotel, we headed down to check out the other beach that is near the hotel. Black Sand Beach is smaller than the one we were on yesterday and they don't recommend swimming there due to strong currents. It was a nice beach, and much less crowded than Jungman beach was yesterday, so we gathered some shells and let the sea splash around our legs for a while before heading back to the hotel for a pre-dinner nap (yes, another one!)

We decided to try and walk to some of the other hotels in the area to see what they might have for dinner options, but all of the buffets were full, so we ended back at the Hyatt Buffet again.

After dinner Christine's mom wanted Christine to get her portrait drawn by a very talented artist that we had watch work the night before in the hotel lobby. Christine found it a little difficult to sit in the same position for about 30 minutes, and she wondered how the children that we had watched him draw the day before managed.

Christine was hoping to get in another little bit of karaoke but was disappointed to discover that the karaoke bar was closed for some reason. Instead, we headed off to bed. It's probably for the best anyway, as we have to wake up early tomorrow to catch our flight back to Seoul.
