After breakfast in the hotel, we set off on foot along the river. There was a good walkway all the way with numerous under-passes to save crossing too many roads.
We stopped for selfies at the Merlion Statue, along with hundreds of others, and continued around the marina to the Marina Bay shopping centre. It's enormous and full of high end stores, but it didn't seem that busy. I'm not sure how they make their money.
After lunch, we visited the Lotus Flower shaped ArtScience Museum. There was quite a good exhibition in the basement but not much at all upstairs!
We found our way through to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel which has 3 towers and a sky Park linking all 3 towers on the roof.. We wanted to go up for a look but for $25 you can only access the observation deck on end so we didn't think it was worth it. We continued on to the Gardens by the Bay and paid $8 to walk along the Skyway amongst the Supertrees.
There was a heavy downpour at one stage but fortunately we found shelter in Maccas, until the storm passed. We headed back around the Marina, through the business centre and along the other side of the river, passing through the restaurant strip along Boat Quay
