This morning, after breakfast, we said goodbye to the Novotel and caught a taxi to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. The taxi driver surprised us with his knowledge of Australia, having visited several times.Diamond Princess had arrived in Singapore about 6am and was ready to start boarding by about 11:30am. The boarding process was smooth and efficient and we were in our cabin by noon. We were able to go straight to a buffet lunch at Horizon Court and afterwards ...

This morning, we walked from our hotel to Raffles Hotel which we looked through, bought a poster from the gift shop and had a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar.After that, we caught an MRT from Esplanade to Promenade and continued by foot to the Singapore Flyer. We didn't bother with a ride but just wanted to see where it was... Strangely, It's a bit off on it's own, unlike the London Eye.We worked out that a big long building nearby was the Pit Buildi...

This morning we caught an MRT from Clarke Quay to Botanic Gardens with a change at Little India. Most of the gardens are free.. But it's $5 to visit the National Orchid Garden. We really enjoyed the Orchid displays and took heaps of photos.We hopped on a bus hoping it would take us along Orchard Road. It did for while but then turned off to the south. With the help of a friendly local lady, we ended up getting off quite close to our hotel, so we had lunch...

This morning we caught a Number 2 Bus from Clarke Quay to Changi Museum where we spent a couple of hours with an Audio Guide. Afterwards we had a very nice lunch at the attached Bark Hut Cafe, before catching the Number 2 Bus back to town.We walked a few blocks to One Raffles Place and bought tickets to go up to the rooftop viewing deck which is actually a bar called 1-Altitude.
