It wasn't very crowded around Vegas in the morning. We supposed everyone was still asleep after a big night but there were still people playing the pokies of which there are millions.
We soon discovered that there was a Monorail station at MGM next door and we thought that might be a good way to get around town. However, it turned out to be a bit of a dud as the stations are a long way from where you want to go so you end up walking miles anyway. We went to the Venetian Hotel first. It looks amazing on the outside, with the Bell Tower and the Doge's Palace etc. On the inside, the ceiling looks like the sky, so it looks like your are outside in an Italian shopping street. The main feature is the Grand Canal complete with gondolas so of course we had a ride on one of them.
After that we walked further down the strip to Circus Circus which has a big theme park and carnival area before catching the Monorail back to MGM where we saw a David Copperfield show. Later, we visited Excalibur and Paris and saw the Bellagio fountains before enjoying dinner at a nice Italian Restaurant in New York, New York.
