Today started with a 7km run up the esplanade and out/back in Urangen pier. Was a lovely morning for it..having the facilities here (and the weather) makes it so much easier!
We threw down breakfast before starting the short (-ish) 2.5 hour drive to Noosa.
We said goodbye to our neighbours (an old couple from UK/Ireland) and the couple who ran the place, who then proceeded to ask us about Daniel O'Donnell and tell us how much they love him and always go to Brisbane to see him. They even said they are going to follow him around Ireland during his tour next year! Jesus, stalkers or what eh?!
Paid 35 bucks for unpowered site in Noosa right on Noosa river..fairly expensive but I think the nearer we get to large cities the more they'll do that. b******os!
Checked into site and ran to Woolworths to pick up a few essentials before re-parking up and having lunch.
We had a lovely walk down Noosa esplanade - the place is so cool. Very like a lot of the towns we have been to. Long walkway along beach/river, free BBQs, tree lined, great views and lots of shops and restaurants.
Decided to finally have myself a right Aussie BBQ! Had a few beers to work up appetite and we cooked sausages, patties, chicken, fried potato and onions to go into some Turkish bread! Delicious but think I need to go for another run after it!
Got chatting to lots of folk around table in particular this English couple living in Cyprus who are travelling in same type van as us but are great friends with Brendan O'Carroll. They were at his wedding and everything. Never really liked the little guy really but my Nan does!
In bed by 9pm tonight, had quick check in with the mother to let her know I was still alive and still intended to come home!
Leaving at 8am tomorrow heading towards Beerwah to go to Steve Irwin (crocodile Steve) zoo, or Australia Zoo as it's better known. Hears good things about it so quite looking forward to it!
