Rotorua smells like rotten eggs....it really was awful. You know what I'm like for my smells anyway, I was nearly heaving every minute. Its because of the sulphur as its one of the most active volcanic areas in the world, and has hundreds of natural hot springs around.

We went to these hot springs called 'Lost Spring' like a luxury spa but with natural hot springs, all of us went it was such a laugh. So amazing. Freezing outside but boiling hot water, so relaxing!!! We all went there for a few hours then had a home cooked meal at the small backpackers we were staying in. I learnt how to play darts in the evening with Mike, was quite funny. I got good by the end! Also i got my cards down and we ended up playing a 15 people game of 's*** head' was so funny.

We went and did a walk down to Cathedral Cove, it was stunning. New Zealand is as beautiful as everyone makes out, so glad I have come here. Also some people went Zorbing this morning, but I didnt. I went luging instead, which was so much fun!!! Basically like go karts but no engine, you go on cable cars up to the top of this mountain and then shoot down through this race course mostly downhill, racing each other. So much fun. We went on three tracks. Absolutely loved it.

Next stop was Waitomo where its most famous for its caves. I did the 'Black Abyss' extreme black water rafting adventure. Was amazing!!!! The water was absolutely freezing though but I had put on some thermal stuff under the thick wet suit so it was just about bearable!! The course started with a 35m absail down into the black caves. Everyone thought it would be funny to make me go first, but I didnt mind, I love things like this. The rest of the course included zip wiring down into more caves, rafting in the pitch black looking up to the hundreds of glow worms lighting up the cave like stars, tubing through rapids, and rock climbing up through strong currents and waterfalls. I felt like I was on crystal maze or something!! Haha. It was the best feeling ever to come out and have the hot showers, warm soup and bagels provided!!!
