Before we knew it, it was my birthday, my 25th birthday!! First stop in Peru was visiting the Floating Islands in Lake Titicaca, which were so interesting and different. There are a large number of self made floating islands where the locals live. Though its now a popular tourist trap which takes away some of the authenticity of the islands but it was still worth seeing as its crazy to see and experience how they live. In the morning we arrived in the beautiful town of Arequipa, we checked into Wild Rover hostel again...

So after the luxury last week in Brazil we went back to reality with a bang with our adventous 4 day inland trip from the coast Brazil to Santa Cruz in Bolivia!We started our journey from Maresias, on the coast of Sao Sebastian, we then got a bus to Sao Paulo where it was a direct bus to Campo Grande! However the idiots at the bus terminal , sent us, unknowingly on a bus to Rio De Janeiros Campo Grande!! Oh my god we were fuming after a 5 hr wait at the term...

So after leaving Soney´s beach house we headed down to Florianpolis for a week, we had heard so much great stuff about the place and the beaches so we were really excited. We ended up couchsurfing for the whole week, staying with two different hosts, which was great. We are currently hanging out with our Brazilian friend Soney who we met in BA back in November. He invited us to come to his beach house on the ´Coast Azul´in Brazil, about an hour from Curtiba. Its a nice introduction to Brazil to be with a local and seeing some of the less tousity areas. Also great as we can try and pick up some basic Portugese as we only just about mastered basic Spanish now Brazil is a new ball game all together. The thing we still cant get...
