Day Four
We had a 5am shuttle picking us up from the hotel and taking us to the airport for our 7am flight to Vegas. When we got there it was already hot. We got another shuttle to our hotel-The Mandalay Bay. The hotel was massive and was the last chance of pure luxury I knew I would be getting for a while! Our room was fantastic, had a great pool view and two double beds and an amazing bathroom. The pool area was amazing, a wave pool, a lazy river and other pools. There was also a big 'beach' area with sand. It was so hot and it was great to just lie out and enjoy the sun! At night we got ready and then headed down to walk down the strip. We went into the Luxor, Exhabilber, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, Paris and the Tropicana. The hotels never cease to amaze me, they have everything. They are massive and have amazing attention to detail. We went for a cocktail at Margaritaville and sat out on the rooftop which looked over the strip. Walking back we watched the musical fountains outside the Bellagio, I forgot how amazing they were. By this time it was 1am and we had been up 21 hours so headed back for a good night's sleep in our amazingly comfy beds.
Day Five
We had our first lie in which was great. Then headed to MGM Grand to book our Cirque du Soleil tickets for tomorrow night, I can't wait to see it. They are meant to be amazing. They are really expensive though, but we have great seats and its a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the original show in Vegas. Then we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in the hotel. It was so good. Then we spent the afternoon relaxing by the pools and going round the lazy river in a rubber ring. So hot!
We went for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory at Caesars Palace after getting lost inside the hotel for over an hour, literally, these hotels are so big it is crazy!!!! They are amazing though, they have everything you could ever need, shops, bars, nightclubs, theatres, etc etc.
We played some slots at the Flamingo, I was on the Poker video machines, I won $5 from my first $1 so I was happy...I soon lost it again though when I gambled...haha. Only on a small scale, no way am I confident enough or have the spare money to gamble on the proper tables. We went for cocktails at Margaritaville and watched the fountain show at the Bellagio...I forgot how amazing it was.
Day Seven
After more relaxing by the amazing pool at our hotel, it started to cloud over for the first time so we decided to spend the late afternoon at the Spa Mandalay....oh my god it was amazing, Nicki had a massage but I couldnt afford too as they were like £60 cheapest and I've already spent way too much, but I went and enjoyed the facilities, amazing jacuzzis, sauna, steam room etc and went to the gym :)
We then got dressed up and went to see 'Ka- Cirque Du Soleil' at MGM Grand....WOW it was incredible. Literally like nothing I have ever seen before. It was amazing. Worth every penny. The staging, costumes, lighting etc, is just unlike anything you have seen before, it puts London shows to shame.
Then I was excited as got had got VIP at Pure (the club at Caesars Palace) as Nicki got a contact for there and WB's latest film 'The Hangover' was filmed there...and I'd heard how good the club was....we got there, massive ques and everything but our host came out and was about to take us in...when he said to both get our IDs out...as Nevada is the strictest state...however Nicki had forgotten hers as she had changed bags and we hadnt actually been ID'd yet so it didnt register....she's 31...they wouldnt let her in...it was ridiuclous, even though the host knew her age, the bouncers wouldnt budge because they literally have to have ID from every single person....it was already 1am by this time and the traffic on the strip was so much it wasnt really worth going back and forth to get it...I was gutted...
....but it just means another excuse I have to go back to Vegas to party with my girls next year or something!!!
