Wow, the incredrible waterfalls literally took my breath away. They were magnificent. Everyone told us how amazing they were and after a lot of hype you really hope you dont get disappointed...and we certainly didnt. We spent one day at the Argentian side of the falls and the next day crossed into Brazil! You do get two completely different perspective of the falls so we are glad we did both. In Argentina we took the boat ride which takes you under the falls...It was crazy! We got absolutely drenched it was so much fun! Also a god send as it helped to cool us down (for all of about 5 minutes) as it was scorching hot and humid by the falls. There were three different areas, the lower, when you got really close to the falls, the water is so powerful its amazing to watch. The upper part where you could look down where the falls break and see amazing rainbow formations. Then we caught their train through the forest to the other end of the falls where the incredible ´Devil´s Throat´was. Wow, pictures cant even begin to do it justice. These falls were definitely the most amazing visual thing I have ever seen in my life. We stayed at a great hostel which was more like a resort hotel, with a huge swimming pool and large grounds. We met a couple of Irish guys we knew from BA there which was fun and met other travellers and all drank and talked together. One night we had a Brazilian Asado BBQ and watched a Samba show. Typical cheesy crowd participation and I pretended to still be eating my dinner so wouldnt get chosen, but the guy came and dragged me up anyway. It was a fun taster of samba and Hayley and I definitely want to do more Samba when we get into Brazil. It was easy to cross the border to Brazil on a public bus and we stored our backpacks in the luggage store at the bus terminal as we were getting a 10 hour overnight bus to Curitiba after our day out. You needed less time to explore the Brazilian side of the falls but the view was just as amazing. You could really appreciate its width, its just massive. 4 times wider than Niagra Falls I think. Really really amazing place!!
