After Fiji, Darren's brother Paul picked us up from the airport and we went to his place in Bli Bli, we spent the first few days before Christmas just chilling and spending most days in the pool until Talitha and I turned into prunes. Christmas was great, a bit weird as we are so used cold English Christmas's but it was nice relaxing by the pool, eating seafood and cold meats, Talitha was more interested in the wrapping paper when she saw her pressies under the Christmas tree but it was so cute watching her rip them apart. Darren turned 30 on boxing day (happy birthday old man), we just had a few drinks and Paul and Shan cooked us a big pork roast which was lovely. Nothing big unfortunately as boxing day is a tough day to organise anything, we did make the mistake of going to the shopping mall though, boxing day sales, so it was absolutely packed, it took 20 minutes just to get a parking but we did eventually find one and then fought our way through the crowds to have a look at a few shops, 10 minutes and we had enough.
The next day we went to Hervey Bay for a week of camping, it was a lovely set up and we were so close to the beach so got a lovely cool breeze. The boys did some fishing while Shan and I were entertained by Talitha, it was really fun and we spent New year there too seeing it in with a bottle of bubbly.
Happy new year everyone, hope that all your dreams come true this year.
