Made a point of leaving the hostel bright and early this morning as we wanted a full day out. Had planned to go to the Montreal Observatory, which is the highest inclined tower in the world, with a 175metre elevation and a 45degree angle, in comparison to the tower of Pisa which has a 5degree incline, so it was quite an impressive architectual design. Planned to spend the day at Parc Mont Royale as there were a few points of interest, or so we were to believe. Set off to the Bell Centre for the ice hockey game; Canadiens (Montreal, CA) v Predators (Nashville USA), which was literally a five minute walk to the stadium from our hostel! Made our way to Old Montreal, which was about a 15minute ride on the metro from where we are staying. It instantly felt like we were in Europe, as there were cobbled lanes, beautifully styled buildings and many cafes, bistros and European restaurants.
