Visited Vancouver Island, Victoria for the day. Was such a long day! Woke up 05:30 and didn't get back to the hostel until 23:00!! I wished someone had advised us that it wasn't just a day trip, as we spent most of our time travelling to and from the island! Once we arrived by ferry I assumed that everything would be walking distance or a short bus ride away...how wrong I was!
We were hoping for a scenic day, but ended up with a tourist attraction, full of shops. As we only had a day we were restricted as to how much of the island we were able to see. On the other hand, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day!
I was obviously such a grouch when we returned back to the hostel, as I was a)Hungry and b)Tired ..... a deadly combination to find me in! So when all I wanted to do was whack a pizza in to kill of my hunger (oh the oven doesn't work) so realised that I had to newk my food in the microwave (which I hate), so I decided to try to use the mini oven instead!....The mini oven resulted in flames, as all the crap from the bottom caught alight and me and Amy shouting out for the guys to come and assist urgently as I was about to set the place alight! I then had to resort back to newking my pizza in the microwave! .... All I wanted was for food and then bed!........
