Ok, only because you asked we went out and took more photos....

Well we are still in Banos where we have been studying spanish for the last couple of weeks. So its been school every morning and then practising and homework in the afternoons (honest!). Well we cant exactly talk to all the locals yet but we can at least attempt to talk to people now and then point! Apart from that we hit the bars last Saturday (well a bar) with an english couple we met until karen got a bit ill...So this weekend our heads were too full for more spanish so we headed about one hour south to a place called Riobamba, where you get a famous train (well famous in Ecuador) which heads through the "Nariz del Diablo" (the devils nose for the uneducated).

The city was really s***ty but we were only there for Saturday night and we got up at some ungodly hour to get the train the next day. The ride was pretty spectacular, as you will see from the photos. The train managed to derail twice in the first hour and a half, which definately made the later journeys over high bridges and next to steep drops that little bit more exilarating! And we're going to be famous.. There was some Ecuadorain film crew on the train and so look out for us on National Geographic!

After the train ride we headed back to Banos where we are going to do some more spanish lessons starting tomorrow til the end of the week. Then its beaches and to the Galapagos Islands on 15th July so watch this space!

Hi, It's a Girl!! Ruby-Rose Colley born on Sat 25th, weighing 7lb 13oz. Were both fine and adjusting to life with another girl in the house. Pete's definitely moving into the summer house. This thing keeps crashing while I'm writing so I'll keep this short. It all looks sooo bloody lovely...love to you both and any randoms that you've picked up on the way. Can you take some pix of the Inca trail for Lou and I so we don't have to spend any money going. Prague was the nuts. I wasn't even arrested whish makes a change.

Helloooooo!!! You look like you are having a wonderful time. The photos are very impressive. The quad bikes look loads of fun, I can just pciture you both wizzing up the mountains, hair blowing in the wind, Karen falling off ....you are as accident prone as me afterall, I can't even walk down the road without tripping over!.

Neale and I went to Leicester last weekend to see Kev and his wife, Kev says hello. I am going home to see Mom and Dad this weekend while the boys are in Prague. House is on the market, have had one viewing so far, but the miserable cow hasn't got back to the estate agent yet. Its really wierd having people trasping around your house isn't it, analysing it! We have found a property in North Chingford which we think 'could be the one' but we are holding off putting in an offer until we have an offer on ours, mainly because we want to knock them down 12.5k, can't see them accepting, but one can dream.

Eastenders update for Karen; Sharon and Denis are back and are looking for Den, and Zoe has confessed to killing Den to Kat, who is also back at the Square.

oh how i do love dropping in on my friends travel diary! so great to see your pics and read your words... you're not as thick as we all thought you both were... well... maybe.. but ... errrr OOooohhh I have news!! I got a voluntary job as an art assistant in a unit for people with acquired brain injuries... been there two Mondays... and now they want me to run the class from next Monday up to and including Sept 12th (holiday cover basically).... so i'm officially an unpaid art tutor... so you may call me 'Miss' for now at least...finally things are starting to happen in joeyworld...yey!
