S: To get down the coast in 3 weeks meant some days we had to do some big drives and this was one of them. Marika and I decided that we would be the drivers today and the plan was to get James and Georgie drunk. (Let's be honest it doesn't take that much encouragement for either of them!!) So off we set and the guys cracked open the beers and started playing cards and Georgie seemed to be getting the hang of cards, or was it the drink?? Bearing in mind to save on spillages James had given her a whole bottle of wine to drink out of!! So after my stint, I decided to have a beer with them, and play cards, although we needed to visit Dan Murphy's pretty soon. We arrived at seventeen-seventy late and needed to find somewhere to stay…. So we went to the old faithful public toilet car park (Australian public toilets are not like the ones you get at home, they are actually nice). We wandered to a restaurant and us girls had the biggest steaks ever, James wasn't hungry due to the beer. That night everyone got bitten to death (Ok not quite!) by midges and drove us all round the bend.
J: I woke up early, obviously I woke Sam up, and she said I wasn't allowed to wake the girls up as it was a heavy night…. must have been as I don't remember it lol. We walked along the beach and found a really nice camp site that we could walk into from the beach side. So once we were all in action we parked in front of the campsite, walked onto the beach (you can just imagine how subtle we looked carrying towels, toiletry bags & fresh clothes), into the camp site and into the very nice shower block, then out the same way all clean and fresh. We then made a visit to a local car-boot market and found someone selling strawberries for $5 (£2.75) a tray….. it was 6kg of strawberries! As we were then starting our next journey enjoying the strawberries, a policeman in the road waved me over for a "random" alcohol breath test, I've never done one before and have always wanted to, I nailed it first time and blew a flat zero, I rule!
S: The rest of us held our breath, whilst James did the breath test.
