Today we are up ridiculously early to go on a boat trip, we are picked up by the bus we takes us to the 'pier' which doesn't actually exist and we have to walk thought the water and climb on to the boat, standard thailand. Then we are fed some dry toast and were off, first stop is a tiny island where we jump of to go snorkelling, there are sooo many fish and you can snorkel through the caves too one person in the group even deciding to feed the fish near us which started a frenzy! The only thing we didn't like was snorkelling in such a huge group! There was our boat of 30 plus at least another 4 boats, no one was given and direction, what to look out for etc and we saw a lot of people standing on and kicking the corals in the reef which we have learnt from our open water course! Is the biggest sin you can commit while diving! Next we are back on the boat and we drive past monkey island which is basically a rock which looks like a monkey's head, next we go to the island where the emerald lake is, no one warned us about the massive amount of ridiculously steep stairs! And it took us around 20 minutes to get to the top, where the view was pretty worth it is suppose, a random fresh water lake in an old volcano which is bright green! We then have to wait for everyone else to get back down and we are back on the boat again, beginning to hate group tours but a lot of the stuff is impossible to do alone. We stop at yet another island where we have lunch of rice, thai green curry and sweet and sour chicken then we have time to chill on the beach, and sit around in hammocks until everyone finishes. Then it's time for kayaking! I quickly choose me and Elliot a bright pink one with matching oars and we are off kayaking through the calm sea in a cove and through lots of different caves, towards the end we start to get competitive and speed up, but Elliot makes us help 2 guys who are stuck on the rocks! Ruining our chances! However we still manage to come third! After this it's back on the boat and home time!
