Very early start we head down to the marina to board our boat, after a safety talk and some tea and biscuits we are ready to go! We are asked if we want to go down unguided as we were qualified which we didnt! Which they said was fine and then later tried to charge us for the guide! The reef is beautiful and we see some amazing fish and coral Aswell as a turtle, sting ray and giant clam! Then suddenly the guide is frantically taping at my pressure gage, panicking I look down and still have 70 bar left (about 20 minutes of air) confused and unable to talk he quickly give me his secondary air supply and swims us back to the boat when we get the the surface I am eager to know what happened or what was broken! And he shouts and asks me why I didn't tell him I was only down to 70, turns out learning in Asia is very different, you go up when you run out of air, here is a lot more safety conscious! At least I know for next time! The second dive goes more smoothly and after lunch we head back to the port! We we get back we pack up the car and start to head off to our next destination Townsville! We find a free campsite and stop for the night we make pasta on the stove and fall asleep straight away after a long day!
