Final day on Fraser and we go to a tea tea tree fresh water lake where we wash are hair and brush our teeth with the silica sand as there are no showers at camp we have lunch at a resort with a pool while we wait for the barge back and we say good bye to our guide tony who is a legend! We wake up as soon as the sun comes up as it gets so ridiculously hot in the tent, after breakfast we set off to our first stop which is Eli creek and fast flowing river which you can float all the way down, the freezing water at 9am is a really good wake up! The next few hours involves human pyramids, wheelbarrow races, gymnastics and slow mo hair flicking! Next stop is the maheno shipwreck which is a huge boat washed up on the beach which had been used for bomb...

So 6 o'clock were up for breakfast and to watch an hour of safety videos about Fraser Island and dingo safety! Why on earth couldn't we have done this yesterday! Then we load the cars up and drive to the barge. When we get there we start to drive to the first lake the journey is horrendous in the back of an 8 seater 4x4 drive on deep bumpy sand we have to duck to stop our heads hitting the ceiling!
