Day 1-3:

Day 1 - 23/03/17
We arrived in Corozal Town after almost 48 hours of being in transit, so we were pretty excited at the prospect of getting to our hotel. After checking in to Hotel Maya we went for a walk and ended up at a bar called Bay Breeze where we ate dinner. After dinner we walked around the beautiful bay before returning to our hotel where we crashed for the night.

Day 2 - 24/03/17
This morning we had a delicious breakfast at our Hotel before setting out to see the ancient Maya site called Santa Rita. These ruins are located only a short distance from town and we easily walked there and back. It costs $10 BZD ($5 USD) to enter the site. Our tour guide was incredibly informative and we learnt a lot about the history of the site from him. The site is small but still very impressive. After walking around here for about 30 minutes we returned to our hotel before setting out again for some lunch and a walk around the town. After again returning to our hotel for a bit, we set out to find dinner, before once again returning to our hotel and crashing for the night.

Day 3 - 25/03/17
After another delicious breakfast it was time to say goodbye to Corozal Town and make our way to our next destination.
