Keeping with the music theme, we drove from Memphis to Nashville to check out those honky tonk hillbilly country music folks.We'd been told the American Idol auditions were in town…Was that a wannabe Carrie Underwood I can hear?Oh no, it's just a Dolly Parton admirer screeching out from Tootsie's Bar.Very amusing this country music stuff and all very simple.All you need is a steel guitar, a fiddle or two and some bloke called Hank singing about a small southern town, a pickup truck, the farmer's daughter or a redneck girl in a red dress and lots of whiskey.Our particular favourite, currently topping the Country Music Charts, goes like this:

Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey

Whiskey makes my baby feel a little frisky

Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck

We hunt our honeys down, we take 'em into town

Start washin' all our worries down the drain

Rain is a good thing!
