Into New England and, funnily enough, it reminds us a lot of Old England.First up we drove along the Connecticut coast stopping for ice creams and seaside walks in the sweet little towns of Mystic and Stonington.From there we ventured into Rhode Island (so easy to tick these small eastern States off compared to the ma-hu-ssive ones in the west) and across the bridge to Newport.Which is nothing like Newport in Wales by the way.In fact, it's the complete opposite.Newport, RI is where all the richo poshos from New York had summer homes back in the day.And by summer homes, we mean massive mansions.We spent the day walking the cliff tops perving at these big piles - not that we felt jealous or anything when we got to our municipal campsite with its could-definitely-do-with-some-bleach communal bathrooms…
