LA Baby!!! For 24 hours!!! Right how much of The City of Dreams can you do in a 1 day stopover?

First blow the budget and check into a classic hotel right on Hollywood Boulevard - The Hollywood Roosevelt. Somehow our ´been on an overnight flight, terrible beard and skanky backpacks´ combo got us an upgrade to a brand new cabana suite decked out in 1970s retro style. Americans just can´t get enough of the British accent can they?

Second take a ride up to the Hollywood sign for views over the city and a photo of that famous bit of metal.

Third book yourself onto one of those cheesy tours of the stars houses and get all flappy and excited when you pass Lauren and Lo´s house and the Playboy Mansion.

Fourth wander down the Walk of Fame, size your feet up to Elizabeth Taylors´and try and break into the red carpet preparations for next week´s Oscars (dammit why didn´t we book our flight for the week later?!).

Fifth eat a burger.

Sixth go catch a movie at one of the famous cinemas. Shutter Island - go and see it NOW.

Seventh end the day with a bottle of California´s finest whilst lounging around the candlelit poolside trying to recognise A-list, D-list, Z-list (anything!).

Awesome. Like, so hot, yeah.
