I am still in Bangkok!!! We thought we were leaving yesterday but it turns out it's this evening instead. I tried to check out yesterday only to be told that we were staying an extra night! STA didn't make that clear to us when we booked the trip so that meant another day and night, considering there isn't much to do in Bangkok apart from shopping and I can't afford to do my favourite pastime. My friend Caroline from back home is in Bangkok for a couple of days so I wondered down to her hotel to see her. She had only arrived an hour before and was quite tired so we arranged to meet later in the day. I went and treated myself to a facial where I had 8 treatments for 3 quid - bargain! It was really nice, although a 2 year old child did lift my skirt up to have a look, how embarrassing! I spent the rest of the day chilling out and having some "me" time. I met up with Caroline and her boyfriend Dave (who is soooo lovely and reminds me of uncle James!) and we ended up getting quite pissed. I got in about 1.30 this morning and I've felt like crap ever since! Charlotte stayed in last night so it was just the three of us - Dave thought I was such a laugh that he wants me to go to Kho Samui and Kho Pang Nang with them but obviously I can't! We met the rest of the group yesterday who we are travelling down to Singapore with and it's all girls!!! I'm quite glad really as men are just a pain and I am pining for Carl so it'll be nice to spend it with girls - there's a real mix too of Australians, Danish, Austrian and English. The first stop is 2 nights and 3 days in the jungle where there is only cold water!! I am sure Mum is laughing at the thought of that - I am just worried about sleeping there incase something crawls in during the night! I won't be able to update this much over the next couple of weeks but will add some more photos and postcards when I can!! x x x x
