So we are now in the capitol. Back to the hot, busy adn dirty city. We are staying in a nice guesthouse called sunday guesthouse. we have our own tv and bathroom which is always good as there is nothing to do and neither of us really feel like going anywhere. We ventured out for some lunch today to the pizza company but even in the 10 minute walk there were so many people asking if we needed a ride and when we say no they just go maybe later maybe alter. i dont think they understand no. Or the fact we want to walk! no one else seems to.

Alex isnt feeling too good at the moment (bit of a temperature, hot and cold) and only had 2 slices of pizza at lunch! something deffinatly wrong. Hes up in bed at the moment, hopefully drinking the bottle of water i left with him! good job we have a tv with the movie channels.

We fly to laos tomorrow, so a new start will be nice. Flying into the capitol, vientaine, then from there were not sure. possibly to vang vieng. here they do a thing called tubing where you get in a tractor inner tube and float down the river stopping at bars ect. not sure wether we will do it though. met some people who said it was really good and they did it for 3 days but seeing pics of it the river is dirty and were not sure if ther maybe bugs and diseases in it that may make us ill. plus neither of us are really drinking so wed just be doing it for the scenery. we shall see when we get there.

travel in laos seems to tkae a lot longer . i guess its because the roads are bad so the places we visit will kind of be the stop offs on the way to the border at chiang khong to get us back into thailand. the plan is a week in laos then travelling back into thailand next friday so our first day in chiang mai will be my birthday and the 15 days will be just right for our flight booked from bangkok to vietnam on the 8th of october!

Hopefully this will all work out. we were hoping to do a hot air balloon ride on the morning of my birthday but looking at the websites they only fly in the dry season. mid oct - Feb. Annoying. so we will just have to find another thing to make it special.
