Hello, we are now in vietnam! we started off in ho chi minh in the south where the traffic was horrendous!!we wondered around the city, went to a very chaotic market and we visited the cu chi tunnels from the vietnam war. they were very interesting and tiny! could not imagione spending hours down there at a time!
it rained alot in ho chi minh but it is the wet season!
we are now in mui ne a small beach town, we are staying in the nicest accomodation yet with a really nice bathroom, big room, tv, fridge and even a desk and balcony!! we were woken up this morning to the sound of dripping.. i got up to find that there was water pouring through a light in the ceiling from above. once id found someone she didnt believe me water was coming through the light and there method of control was to just give us some more towels! brilliant! it eased off and we left a cup underneath so hopefully it will be ok!
when we got here yesterday we went on a tour to the sandunes, they were pretty cool, we were meant to watch the sunset but there was more rain so we returned to the hotel. its a very small quiet village with no public footpaths to get to the beach you kind of have to find a restaurant or hotel and just walk through! feels a bit odd but every1 seems to do it.
tomorrow we are off to nah trang where theres a bit more going on. we have open sleeper bus tickets all the way to hanoi which means we just phone the day before we want to leave somewhere so they no to leave us space to get on then we get onthe next day to our destination. the bus is made up of 3 rows and 2 levels of narrow little beds. the back is adjustable so you can sit up with legs in front or be lying down. they are rather comfy and will be good for the long journeys.
have a feeling its gunna rain again soon. good job we have a tv!!
hope your all well. xxxx
