HEaded North from Auckland on the Big Green Bus yesterday, stopped at a really dinky honey cafe for breakfast. Felt a little bit like a school trip - "you have 30 minutes we leave at 8.30" Everyone was very cahtty though and the journey passed really quickly! The country side is VERY english. Sheep EVERYWHERE - did you know that there are 40 million sheep in New Zealand - that is 10 sheep for every person!

The Japanease woman who booked my bus ticket obviously wasn't understood by the person on the end of the phone because I am now "Katey Sadgson" I know people have problems with my name, but this is a new one on me!!!

Went for a "45 minute" walk up to a look out which took me 30 minutes tops, pretty spectacular views although they were largely hidden by trees!

Went on a longer walk today, about 3 hours along a coastal "Path" the first half of the walk involved clambering over and through rock pools!!!!

I got stuck behind some random Scotisch guy who wanted to chat rather than let me past managed to shake him off when I got to the Marina

It rained pretty hard on my way back but it was still warm enough for shorts + t-shirt.

Killed my 3rd cockroach today - I really dont like them!
