Last day in Fiji and the weather has been perfect - didn't see a cloud unitl about 5pm! There was a HUGE locust/grashopper in the room earlier which some German guy chased away because there was just 5 of us girls being a bit whimpy about it!! My lizard shower friend was back again today was keeping my eye on it but when I closed my eyes to keep the soap out it disapeared.....:S Mosquitoes are STILL doing my head in - have a bite on the palm of my hand - soooo ...

There is some governement issue in Fiji...I'm not entirely sure what, but Chinese Whispers around the hotel - Gordon Brown has apprently advised all British citizens to leave the country..... 2 things to tell you today. - I killed a bug with a Bible - is this bad? - The lizards in Fiji make a WIERD noise - sounds kind of likea bird! Again - Lazy pool + sun day!!! I had a lizard jump on my leg when I was taking a shower! And I am back being devoured by mosqui...

2 Excting events today! #1 - at about 6.30 am when I woke up because of the sunlight streaming through the door, me and a roomate hade a little run in with a cockroach!!! Stacey tried to kill it a couple of times but failed! and then it headed towards my backpack!!! Moved my pack and it started going loopy around the room, Stacey was jumping onto beds and chairs and threw her flip flop at it, even this didnt stop it heading for her! I had got bored by this point...

Got back to the mainland yesterday, back to realistic prices and a place where backpackers have to carry their own bag!!!! Pianful shoylder after about 200m walk from bus to hotel!!!! Back to the Nadi Bay Hotel where the fans are STILL blowing around hot air!!! I may look back on my time in Fiji and regret not seeing more of the main island but even the Lonely Planet advises that the smaller islands are the palce to be. Have lost my first piece of clothing - bla...

Caught a bus at 7.15am to go to Denarau port to start the "Tropical Awegasm" island hopping tour. Boat ride to the island was lovely, some of the views were stunning its just a shame the sky wasn't blue as there are clouds today :( Had to jump from a big catamaran boat into a smaller 'taxi' boat which basically drove us onto the beach of Beachcomber island! Got bed numbers (109) and a locker key and were taken to the dorm...112 beds in a Bure (House) ab...
