My last full day in New Zealand today - CRAZY!!!! I don't know where the last 5 weeks have gone!!!!! As soon as I stepped out of the hostel yesterday morning it started to rain!!!!! but I wasn't going to waste ANOTHER day so I started walking towards Cathederal Square when I got there I saw the Tram waiting - brilliant a nice dry way to get around and see Christchurch!!!! I got off at the museum stop - a free inside activity, it doesn't get much better than that!!!!! It was a really good museum it was just unfortunate that I had timed my visit to coincide exactly with a local primary school! I managed to avoid them until right near the end of the museum and suddenly they were EVERYWHERE!!!!! Saw Louis in the afternoon and the evening. Today I woke up and couldn't hear any rain!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!!! so I headed for the Cathedral which was about the same size and reminded me alot of Sherborne Abby. After some thinking time in the cathedral I headed for the Art Gallery - the first one I have ever been in! There was an exhibit of work by an artist called Rita Angus which I enjoyed, some other travelling exhibits and a 19th, 20th century and conteporary art exhibit - the contemporary stuff interest me more here. when I came out of the gallery it started to rain a little but I carried on wandering round a little bit - I'm English I am used to rain!!!!! very suddenly the rain turned to hail and a HUGE gusty wind started up! I nearly got blown away and I was a fair way from the hostel!!!!! By the time I got back I was rather windswept and soggy!!!!
