The weather wasn't nearly as nice today, I caught the ferry from Circular Quay to Manlu where I did a 10km bushwalk to the Spit Bridge. To get to the ferry I went on a TRIPLE decker train - I am so not too old to get excited about this and I sat on the top level just because I could! I got to manly and grabbed a map for the "Manly Scenic Walkway" and headed off - somehow I got lost, I am getting used to this now! I think I just missed a signpost and I managed to correct the issue pretty quickly and got back on track without going too far out of my way. The first part of the path was all tarcmac and through trees - not exactly "scenic" especailly coming from New Zealand. After a while it got into more "bush like area over rocks and through some pretty plants. I got to a peak where there were some fantastic views of the city - I think Sydney skyline has got to be one of the most beautiful in the world. There were some nice little beaches all along the path but with clouds around it wasn't really sunbathing weather so I just followed the path round to "The Spit". As I got to the end of the path I think I saw some kookaburra! The track was supposed to take 4 1/2hrs...I did it in 2 1/2 I caught a bus back to Manly and then got the ferry back to the harbour. In the last week I have travelled by - Boat, Plane, Tram, Train, Car and Bus! I crashed out again at about 4.30, went in the sauna and had a very lazy evening.
