So.... I haven't wrote on here for a while now because really nothing that exciting has happened to me. Until now....
Yesterday I had officially the most terrifying experience I have even had in my life. Yes, even more scary than waking up after a heavy night drinking and looking in the mirror. Today... a cobra ran over my leg and foot!!! Me and Tom were in the jungle visiting a friend who is building a bar. We were having a fun time then decided to leave. I sat on my scooter then suddenly felt something move across my feet and legs. I look down and it's a fooking Cobra!!! I just screamed and jumped off my bike. As I jumped off the cobra moved and I accidently stood on it. Then I just ran with Tom running behind me. We turned round and it just slivered off into the trees. I absolutely s*** myself. I was so freaked out I actually couldn't move. My heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest and my breathing was like I just ran a marathon. I was shaking like crazy and wanted to cry. I thought I was going to be sick and was too scared to even get back on my bike. Eventually I got on and we rode away but I was so scared I couldn't stop freaking out that I would see another one. I have decided I am never going back to the jungle again. If the cobra had bit me I would have died.
So even though now I am so petrified of snakes I never want to see one again, I still did my research on the internet and this is what I found:
Cobras venom is not the strongest there is, but cobras can inject so much venom in a single bite that they can kill an elephant.
The mortality rate from a bite can be as high as 75%. People who are bitten by this species have a low chance to survive
Now I just can't stop thinking about it and every time something touches me I flinch. I just keep thinking that if it had bit me, I would have most likely died. I would have never got to anywhere to get help in time and god knows if there would be anywhere on this island that has any ant venom anyway! I seriously think there was definitely someone looking after me and people have been saying I have good luck! I do need to stop talking about it now as it really makes me feel sick and scared.
So what else have I been up to apart from making friends with dangerous snakes. I went to Bangkok last week for 3 nights. My friend Pey has a house there and needed to go so I said I would keep him company. Well all I can say is... what a load of s***. I had never been so bored in all my life. We get to his Mums house he shows me to my room then just shuts the door behind me and leaves me there. I'm just sat there like dum de dum, what do I do now then! We spent 3 days just trekking around s***ty places looking for a darn watch! I would just sit there bored to death waiting. It actually was that poor that I can't even be bothered to write about it.
Today the weather is dreadful, rain rain and more rain. But who cares, I'm in Thailand and your not! Ha!!!
Muchas love
