Greetings from Thailand!
Last week I headed from Laos back to Thailand. Starting in Chiang Mai, me and Emma met up with some Irish guys we had become friends with and went out for a few drinks. A few drinks too many and by the next morning I was feeling like someone had thrown me off a tuk tuk at 80mph! But rather than being able to sleep all day, I was greeted at 9.30am by Amy arriving from the UK. It was really great to see a familiar face but I'm sure she was rather disgusted by my mingingness.
Me, Emma and Amy headed to the zoo that afternoon but it was the worst place I had ever been to. The more I walked around the more my head felt like it was being crushed in one of those tiny tiny tiny cages they had the animals in. We headed back and had an early night, preparing ourselves for our jungle trek the next morning.
This trek was a fantastic day. We started off by elephant riding for an hour. When we got there the guy said we could have 2 of us on the seat and one person 'driving' the elephant at front. Amy was straight away volunteering to be driver. Within 2 minutes of setting off she was s***ting herself and screaming. It was so hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at her. She was so scared. It was nice for once to have someone else being scared of something.
Afterwards we walked up to a gorgeous waterfall and then headed for some lunch. Next on the agenda was bamboo rafting. We got absolutely soaked and I am surprised we didn't fall in, but it was great fun.
We spent the day after on a 10 hour bus ride to Bangkok. It was here we said goodbye to Emma. This was a really really sad moment. But to make our last night together a memorable one we wanted to go see the 'ping pong show' where women pop ping pongs out of their lady bits. Well we most defiantly got more than we bargained for. Firstly we got to watch a lady put a permanent marker pen up her and write a message. Then we got to watch some girl on girl action, this was so ridiculously funny. The women looked so bored and as though they would much rather be sat in front of the box watching Corrie! Then came the full sex scene. The guy was disgustingly gross and the woman looked like the grudge. Amy spent the whole time with her hands over her eyes and head down about to be sick. Me and Emma just sat there laughing and laughing. I am surprised we didn't get thrown out. Then we finally got to see the ping pong show!! This was such a let down! The woman was trying to pop them out and then bounce them into a vase! Well she wasn't having much luck and kept missing. By the end I just wanted to tell her to give it up. We decided then that we had seen enough for one night and should go.
The following morning, after being slightly disturbed from the live sex show, we took to being tourists for the day. A visit to the Grand Palace was in order. I personally am so templed out now that I found it really boring and just kept heading to the corners where they had placed fans so I could cool myself down. After we went for a Thai Massage. Oh my lord that hurt like hell! I was bent in ways I had never thought I could bend! (Now I know how the sex lady last night learnt how to be so flexible!) I was hurting something terrible and yet I still let her carry on.
We headed back to our guest house where we got our stuff then we headed onto the night bus to Koh Samui! After 18 hours travelling we finally arrived!
We spent 2 nights here and am now in Ko Phangan. Tonight is the half moon party which I am rather looking forward to.
Now is time to sit back, relax, and take in a little sun. I'm off to the beach now....
