Hi all,We've popped into Queensland for a few days. Went to see England beat New Zealand in Brisbane, then went up to Mon Repos National Park to see little turtle hatchlings run down the beach into the sea. Also saw a big Green Turtle laying her eggs. In Lamington National Park at the moment, staying in the cheap campground. Did a couple of rainforest walks, including a tree-top walk which was cool. We decided to go to Sydney. Been here 5 days now. Started off by going to Captain Cook's landing place in Botany Bay and staying in a campsite on the bay. We've been exploring all the classic Sydney sights: the harbour and opera house. We did a Harbour Bridge Climb which was awesome. Hi,The non-snowy mountains were lovely. We walked up the highest mountain in Australia (Kosciusko) which was incredible. Spent a couple of evenings sat by a river looking for a Duck-Billed Platypus. By the end of the second night one appeared and swam about right in front of us for a few minutes. Very exciting. Hi,We're now back in Victoria. The Naracoorte caves were really good, we saw thousands of bats flying right past our heads. Katie did a geeky fossil tour which she enjoyed. From there we headed to Mount Gambier and saw the crazy "Blue Lake". The photo doesn't really do justice to the freaky colour. HiThe rest of our time on Kangaroo Island was great, saw pelicans being fed. They were massive and really funny to watch. One of the best things we've done so far. After Kangaroo Island we had a couple more days in Adelaide. Went to the beach and to an outdoor cinema in the botanical gardens.
