Hi
The rest of our time on Kangaroo Island was great, saw pelicans being fed. They were massive and really funny to watch. One of the best things we've done so far. After Kangaroo Island we had a couple more days in Adelaide. Went to the beach and to an outdoor cinema in the botanical gardens. Had to watch 'Snakes on a Plane' as it was the only film on while we were there, but it was actually very entertaining!
Picked up our campervan, we've called it 'Kenny' (after a great Aussie film you should all watch). We'll put up photos when we can. Campervanning is so much fun. Stayed in some campsites and sometimes in the middle of nowhere. We drove to the Barossa Valley first of all, home of Jacob's Creek and various other wineries. The creek was pretty dried up but we saw alot of grapes. Next we drove up to the Flinders Range National Park. Did some bush walking which was intensley hot. Saw loads of Kangaroos close up, some aborigional rock art and some amazing scenery.
Drove down to the Coorong wetlands area. Stayed the night in the National Park which was fairly deserted and the lagoons looked lovely in the evening. We're now in Robe, a seaside town full of families on their summer hols. We're just leaving for Naracoorte, a world heritage site, where we'll explore some caves and watch the mass exodus of thousands of bats tonight.
Hope all is well at home,
Katie and Matt xx
