Woke up early at 5:30am to catch the bus to Cairns. It was kind of a hot, cramped, sweaty 6 hours of our lives but we made it safely! After hopping off the bus we decided to walk to our hostel along the Esplanade and stop for some lunch along the way. We decided on a burger joint called Grill'd. It was pretty ordinary and we regretted it for the rest of the day. We enjoyed a sunny and sweaty trek to the hostel, dragging our heavily laden winter wear filled suit...

Tonight we went out to dinner at a local Japanese restaurant to prepare ourselves for the big month ahead. After a delicious selection of Japanese style tapas and some tofu cheesecake and tempura ice cream for dessert, we are now back home waiting for bed time to come around. Hopefully we have everything packed. I'm so paranoid about forgetting something important like my passport. Eek! I'm also a bit sad about leaving puss behind. But I'm sure I'll miss him mor...
